30/11/16 RICHARD AND HIS SUPPORTING CAST, AT THE  ‘UNSUNG SPORTING HERO’ AWARDS CEREMONY - Unfortunately Richard wasn’t selected as the overall winner, but to the members of Handsworth Swimming Club, and I’m sure to many people involved in water polo, he is our hero. Congratulations, Richard, a true living legend.

Thursday 3rd Nov 2016 WINTER LEAGUE BEGINS WITH NARROW DEFEAT - The Winter League kicked off last night, with Handsworth fielding a small, mixed squad against old foes Aston. Despite a strong start and leading the game quite comfortably 4- 7 going into the final quarter, a quick-fire double in the first minute of the 4th got Aston back into the game and with renewed confidence, they hit another three goals without reply to lead 9-7. Handsworth pulled themselves together for a final push, pulling back one goal, but time was against them. Final score 9-8 to the hosts. Disappointing start but they have chance to redeem themselves tonight (04/11/16) at home, when Stafford visit for the next fixture. Game starts at 8:35pm. If you have been carded and cannot attend, you must let Richard know ASAP so he can arrange cover.
